One area where VMware has been very successful is with their community and user groups.  And for the longest time, I've been searching for a comparable virtualization user group within the Microsoft community, but could never find one.  Until now.

It seems that Microsoft's first virtualization user group has sprouted in the UK.  They now have a Web site, and they are welcoming people to join the Microsoft Virtualization User Group UK experience.  Yes, the Microsoft Virtualization User Group is MVUG for short, not to be confused with VMware's user group, VMUG.  :)

The group intends to meet in person to host monthly events that are presented by industry experts.  Events will be advertised on the MVUG Web site.  The group's first meeting will take place on September 24th, at Microsoft, Victoria, London.
